I have a theory about why so many more mass murders occur in the US than any other country, aside from its gun culture and wars that bring back men with PTSD, some of whom commit such crimes. Racism is, I believe, one cause of this killing epidemic, given how embedded racism is, in this still highly segregated US society. Another is a sense of alienation in US society, one where so many people live alone or with absentee parents. So many of these mass murderers are young white men, who have no girlfriends, or friends of any kind, and who because they are white, don’t belong to a sub-culture to give them a sense of belonging. Maybe that’s why so few Blacks, Jews, and Hispanics commit theses kinds of crimes. That is, those who white supremacists fear will replace them. But this is just a theory
