It's not only conservatives who decry the "woke" with their antipathy to free speech. I'm a lifelong liberal Democrat and, to me, "wokeness" has simply become another word for tyrannical. They love to enforce conformity. I think your attempt to defend NPR in this column couldn't be much weaker.
