One thing I liked about Biden's "supposed" post-debate comeback was his saying "It's hard to debate a liar," a line he could have used in the debate." He could have even paraphrased a comment that writer Mary McCarthy once said about writer Lillian Hellman: “ Everything she writes is a lie, including ‘and’ and ‘the’ “.
Given how frequently and egregiously Trump lies, I think that, whatever network holds such debates should put as a condition that everything each candidate says during a debate would be fact-checked in real-time, probably, off-camera by a group of network journalists who would report and correct the lies to the earphones of commentators who could point out the lies right after the candidate spouts them.
That´s because I see debates as both exchanges of opinion and interviews. Anyone could have done what the CNN moderators, Tapper and Bash, did, asking predictable questions and only reminding the candidades that they didn't answer them. These moderators need to also be interviewers, in the sense that any good interviewer of a political figure needs to dispute lies the interviewee says. Otherwise the public is misinformed.

After the “debate” President Biden seemed to be his old self at an after meeting & then at a Waffle House. Yesterday, he seemed like his old self at the Raleigh NC rally & in NYC!
Something was off. David, each time the evil monster lied, President Biden heard & reacted! He was there! He may have been on information overload from Camp David prep!
If you all saw him & his speeches at Normandy & that whole week’s events & his transatlantic events back home only to fly transatlantic again for the G7 where he was presidential & an accomplished respected leader you would see he’s a great choice for us!
I support Biden and will vote for him but I'm worried about his health. We cannot rely on one man to stand up to The Evil One. We need a unified army based on strength. If Biden can lead it I will be happy. But I am concerned he may not be up to the task.
I’m worried too. But I am amazed at him most of the time! Kamala will be great if needed & is under appreciated! I get the White House emails everyday & she accomplishes so much! Unfortunately people don’t follow her.
