David, apropos to your essay today, I suggest you read Ferlinghetti’s”Two Scavengers in a Truck” a poem about two SF garbage men in truck stopped at a traffic light and looking down at and studying a rich, young couple in a red Mercedes convertible looking at them, as they look back at the garbagemen, a poem whose theme is the class divide, in this so-called “sea of democracy.” Trump’s switching places with these garbagemen in the pix you posted,is a pathetic attempt to show how he, a man with a golden toilet, is trying to bridge that huge gulf.
