David, I once received a death threat via an online post under an widely-read, tongue-in-cheek essay I published in Brazil mocking a musical celebrity here, as well as his enormous fan-base who treat him as if he were God. The threat read: I know your address and wanted you to know how easy it's going to be wait until you leave home and, while you're walking down the sidewalk, run you over with my car. Neeless to say: I'm still here.
Even though I didn't take the threat that seriously, it took a few weeks to feel safe and during that time I looked to see if there were people in parked cars outside my apartment building.
So glad you often (always?) include a link to The Onion! Great read today, too.
Always. :)

Do you remember how long it took you to feel safe going outside?

I wish I could be in contact with her. Some yers back, she contacted me and refreshed my memory of that day.
Great anecdote, David. And a reminder that lefty lawyers can also stand in the way of valuable, important facts being disclosed....
One footnote: I wonder how Jann's secretary felt--also in potential danger, and not part of the job description?
